AAU Mini-Tournament at RMS Gym During Spring Break (March 29-30th)

AAU Basketball will be playing in a small tournament hosted at Rossview Middle School from

March 29-30. Teams will begin play at the RMS Gym.

Tickets are available.


Mar 29: AAU basketball tournament. Sell concessions from 9am until 7pm.

Mar 30: AAU basketball tournament. Sell concessions from 9am until 5pm.

Incoming High School Parent Night (3/13/2014)

At 6PM on March 13, the RMS staff; along with selected members of RHS, will be hosting an incoming freshmen meeting to anyone with a child at this school who will be entering Rossview Middle School in Aug. 2014. This meeting will be held at Rossview High School Theatre. This meeting will discuss several topics including:

• Graduation plans, courses and academic academies
• Changes from Middle School to High School
• TSSAA standards for sports
• Electives & Clubs
• ACT Prep

We welcome students and parents to this meeting to get a better idea of the marvelous opportunities for learning, enlightenment & fun awaiting at Rossview Middle School next year.

Daylight Saving Time 2014: March 9th, 2014- Set Clock 1hr Ahead

Twice each year this controversial practice gives rise to various questions: Why do we spring forward and fall back? Does daylight saving time (DST) really save energy? Is it bad for your health? There is no consensus, but experts do offer some answers.

Daylight saving time 2014 will begin at 2 a.m. on Sunday, March 9, when most U.S. states will spring forward an hour

Quarter 3 Reward Celebrations
Congratulations to our students for working so hard this third nine weeks! Your child's 3rd Quarter Reward Celebration will be held at Ft. Campbell on one of the following days:
Weds, March 19th - 6th Grade
Thurs, March 20th - 7th Grade
Fri, March 21st - 8th Grade
Students will bring home two forms on Wednesday, March 5th. Please read BOTH forms and complete the white signature page. Your child needs to read and sign the gold form. The Homeroom Teacher will serve as the "witness" on the gold form, but we wanted parents to read the form prior to our students' signing it. Send BOTH forms back to your child's HOMEROOM Teacher NO LATER THAN Friday, March 7th.
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS for Q3 REWARD DAY:

• Not more than 10 discipline points earned during Quarter 3
• 100% Work Completed and Turned In NO LATER THAN Friday, March 7th (Check PowerSchool for missing assignments)
• Permission Slips Turned in NO LATER THAN Friday, March 7th (both are attached to this email)
• Appropriate footwear and dress on day of event (described on permission slip)
