RMS Baseball Team: Pre-Season Workouts

Congraduations to the selected young men who made The Rossview Middle School Baseball Team for the 2012 Spring Season. We will begin our Pre-season workouts today after school. We will be working out Mondays after school and Wednesdays from 4:30-5:30. RMS: Spirit Week: 9-26 thru 9-30

The high school is having homecoming on Friday, and in order to support them, we will have spirit days on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday.

Wednesday is mismatched day.
Thursday is nerd day.
Friday is color wars = 6th – red, 7th – gold, 8th – black.

Also Pomp-Pomps are on sale in the cafeteria. Show your Hawk Spirit and cheer on the Hawks!

Rossview Middle School: Basketball Tryouts

Boys and Girls interested in trying out for the Rossview Middle School Basketball Team need to pick up a packet from the Coaches in the Gym. Those packets are available as of 9/17/2012.

Any student interested in the tryouts must have a physical examination form & a clearance form completed by a physician. Click here to download a physical form: LINK

The actual tryouts will begin on October 3rd and proceed throughout that week. Here is the schedule below:

10/1/2012: 6th Grade: Girls (2:30pm to 4:00pm), Boys (4:00pm to 5:30pm)

10/2/2012: 7th- 8th Grade: Girls (2:30pm to 4:00pm), Boys (4:00pm to 5:30pm)

10/3/2012: 6th Grade: Girls (2:30pm to 4:00pm), Boys (4:00pm to 5:30pm)

10/4/2012: 7th- 8th Grade: Girls (2:30pm to 4:00pm), Boys (4:00pm to 5:30pm)

Team rosters will be posted in the locker rooms as well as in the front office on October 5th, 2012. The selections for the 2012-2013 roster will be made based on performance, attitude & classroom performance. Behavior is also considered. If the student's name appears on the roster on 10/5/2012, you must see the appropriate coach before you leave for Fall Break that very same day:

Official team practice will begin on Monday, October 15th from Girls (2:30pm to 4:00pm) & Boys (4:00pm to 5:30pm). This practice schedule will continue until further notice. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact the coaches.

Beta Convention Fees are due soon!

All Beta students attending Convention must pay a deposit of $50 by Sept. 30th to reserve your spot. Please bring all money to Mrs. Struble in the Hawk Hut during Homeroom.

CiCi's Pizza Night on Madison Street. RMS PTO 4/26/2012

On 4/26/2012, Our PTO is working with CiCi's Pizza to raise money for Rossview Middle School. On the 4th Friday of every month, treat your family to pizza at CiCi's and 10% of the proceeds will go to Rossview Middle. The homeroom class with the most participation wins a pizza party. Bring your family and friends!Don't forget this program as you do your Black Friday Shopping.

The Writer's Block Club: 1st Meeting

If your short stories are hip. if your poetry is cool, the join the greatest club afterschool. Monday, September 19th is the Writer's Block first interest meeting. It will be from 2:30-3:30PM in room C-6. Please make sure that your rides are here at 3:30PM. Come stop by & find out what the Writer's Block Club is about. Any questions, please see Mrs. Young.

RMS Drama Club:1st Reading of Script

On September 15, the casting crew for the play "I Dont Have a Clue" will have their 1st reading of the script on September 15th from 2:30 to 4:00 PM.

Students must initial their name on the casting list in the school to accept their role in the play production.

The crew members for stage operations will meet on September 23rd at 2:30pm. Any questions, please see the sponsor for details.

Fall 2011 Fundraiser

Beginning August 29th and running to September 9th our school is having its annual Fall Fundraiser. There are a variety of gifts for all ages. One Homeroom class per each grade level selling the most items will receive a Pizza Party.

Beta Club will hold its first meeting for all members on Thursday, Sept. 1st from 2:30 to 3:30. Only those6th graders who were members in Elementary School need to attend. Please ensure your rides are here to pick you up by 3:30

Back to School Dance

RMS will host it's 1st Back to School Dance on 9/8/2011 from 6pm to 8pm here at RMS.

Tickets will go on sale t lunch on Friday, 9/2/2011 to 9/6/2011 for $4.00 each.
